What we collect
When you send the enquiry form: your name, your email address, the route you choose (if you choose one) and what you write to us.
When you visit the site: our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit, to keep the site secure and working.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The site keeps one small note in your browser for the length of your visit, so the opening animation does not replay. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and talk with you about working together. We do this because you asked us to, and so we can take the steps you request before any agreement.
- To keep the website secure and running, which is in our legitimate interest.
We handle personal information under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where they apply to you, the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR.
Who else handles it
- Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and receives form submissions on our behalf.
- Microsoft provides our email, where your enquiry is delivered.
These providers may process information outside Switzerland, the UK or the EEA. Where they do, the transfer is protected by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent recognised safeguard. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to marketing lists.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you. If we go on to work together, we keep what we need for that relationship and for any records the law requires. Hosting logs are kept for the provider’s standard period.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive a copy in a portable form. Write to us at the address above and we will reply within one month.
You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO); in the EEA, the authority where you live.
Changes
If we change how we use personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
